If you have decided on the Oral-B iO9, the only question left is where to buy it. We are not neutral about the answer, and we will not pretend to be: the practising dentists behind Onyx chose the iO9 Black Onyx as the one electric toothbrush we sell. So here is our answer, with the prices on the table and the reasons behind them.
The short answer: from us, at £164.99
Our Oral-B iO9 Black Onyx is £164.99. It is in stock, chosen by practising dentists, dispatched the same day when you order before 4pm, delivered free on UK orders over £50 and returnable within 30 days if unopened.
It is the same Black Onyx edition, with the same barcode, that Oral-B lists on its own UK website. In the box you get the handle, one iO brush head, a magnetic charger, a charging travel case and a head holder.
If this is your first iO, we would steer you to the Complete Care Bundle instead: the same brush with a year of replacement heads and a Biorepair Plus toothpaste, for £180.
What the whole order costs
Oral-B recommends a new head about every three months, so the brush is only the start. Here is the whole order at our prices on 27 October 2026.
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Oral-B iO9 Black Onyx toothbrush | £164.99 |
| iO Ultimate Clean black heads, four-pack | £20 |
| Biorepair Plus Sensitive Teeth or Total Protection toothpaste | £6.99 |
| All three bought separately | £191.98 |
| Complete Care Bundle: all three together | £180.00, saving £11.98 |
A four-pack gives one person about a year of heads. The toothpaste is Biorepair Plus, the fluoride-free hydroxyapatite toothpaste we stock on purpose: Biorepair puts 24% microRepair® in Sensitive Teeth and 20% in Total Protection, and our hydroxyapatite guide sets out what the research shows. You can have the bundle with Sensitive Teeth or with Total Protection.
Six reasons to buy your iO9 from us
Chosen by practising dentists
We stock one electric toothbrush, and we chose it for the feedback it gives you while you brush: a ring that shows when you are pressing too hard, too softly or just right, a colour display with the two-minute timer, seven modes and optional coaching in the Oral-B app. Our dentist's iO9 review explains why each of those matters at seven o'clock on a weekday morning.
A bundle you will not find anywhere else
The Complete Care Bundle is our own: the iO9, four heads and a toothpaste in one order for £180, which is £11.98 less than buying the three from us separately.
Same-day dispatch before 4pm
Order before 4pm and your parcel leaves us the same day by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
Free UK delivery over £50
The brush and the bundle both qualify. Below £50, delivery is £4.99.
30-day returns on unopened items
Changed your mind? Unopened, unused items can come back to us within 30 days. For hygiene reasons we cannot take back a brush or toothpaste once it is opened, unless it is faulty, and the iO9 carries Oral-B's two-year warranty, which you can extend to three years by registering it with Oral-B.
A dentist answers your questions
Not sure which toothpaste suits you, or how to get the most from the iO9's modes? Send us a message or email hello@onyx-dental.co.uk. It reaches one of the dentist team, not a ticket queue, before you order and after.
The brush alone, or the bundle?
Choose the brush on its own if you already have iO heads and a toothpaste you like. It is £164.99, delivered free.
Choose the bundle if this is your first iO. Heads from Oral-B's older Pro, Vitality, Smart and Genius brushes do not fit an iO handle, so you will need iO heads from day one, and the bundle includes a year of them with your toothpaste.
Still weighing up the brush itself? Our guides to the whole Oral-B range, the iO9 against the iO10 and the iO9 against Philips Sonicare show what each alternative gives up.
Frequently asked questions
Is the iO9 from Onyx a genuine Oral-B?
Yes. It is the Oral-B iO9 in Black Onyx, the same edition and barcode as Oral-B's own UK listing, with Oral-B's two-year warranty.
How quickly will it be sent?
Orders placed before 4pm are dispatched the same day by Royal Mail Tracked 24, and delivery is free on UK orders over £50.
Should I wait for Black Friday?
Not for ours. Our current iO9 price is £164.99, and our iO9 Black Friday guide explains why there is nothing to wait for.
Which heads fit the iO9?
Oral-B iO heads only. Our black iO Ultimate Clean four-pack is £20, and our iO heads guide explains why we chose it.
